Temple Grandin. Innovator. Author. Activist. Autistic.

Update: I updated the video links. They’re a little bit slow but kindly wait for just a few minutes. If you access the site from a mobile, HBO does not show the videos.

Update: I finally was able to watch the movie Temple Grandin, a very inspiring movie.

My attention was caught by this Yahoo! headline, “Mystery star at Emmys explained”. So I read the news and found out about the HBO movie “Temple Grandin” starring Claire Danes, Julia Ormond, Catherine O’Hara and David Strathairn.

Temple Grandin is an innovator, author, activist and autistic. She has a special and brilliant mind despite being autistic. She was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4, according to the Temple Grandin movie trailer. She has a very supportive mother that she was able to pursue her education including a doctorate degree in animal science from the University of Illinois.

The trailer of the HBO movie “Temple Grandin” is so inspiring that I really would like to see the film. Even if I do not know Dr. Temple Grandin, I could see that Claire Danes, as shown in the trailer, really did a good job in portraying her role as Temple Grandin. Claire Danes even won as the outstanding lead actress in a miniseries or a movie at the Emmy Awards. The HBO movie Temple Grandin won as the outstanding made-for-television movie. Julia Ormond as Eustacia, the mother, won as outstanding supporting actress in a miniseries or a movie. David Strathairn as Dr. Carlock won as outstanding supporting actor in a miniseries or a movie.

Pandan, Antique, Philippines, Spring Vacation 2010

Pandan celebrated its Tugbong Festival from April 21 to 25, 2010 but I was not able to take a lot of photos.

But I was able to take a lot of photos when we went to Malumpati Cold Spring Resort and a few beaches in Pandan.

Even if I did not do a lot of things in Pandan, I still had fun.

Philippines Vacation in Spring 2010

I went on vacation to the Philippines in April. Actually, my original flight was cancelled because of the ash fall due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland. But the flight was rescheduled and I was able to fly. I was not even sure if I will really be able to go to the Philippines. Fortunately, everything went fine and I was able to spend my Spring vacation in the Philippines.

I spent my vacation in the Philippines with my family and friends. I spent some time doing things I needed to do like renewing my driver’s license among others. I also spent my time meeting some friends whom I have not seen for quite a long time.

I was also able to witness the national election in the Philippines on May 10, 2010.

Decorative Candles at Kerzen Atelier Ambiente, Ettiswil, Lucerne

I went with Hub in Ettiswil when he attended the meeting in Castle Wyher. I did not attend the meeting though as I opted to take pictures of Castle Wyher. But I did not only take pictures of Castle Wyher, I also took some pictures of the decorative candles being sold at Kerzen Atelier Ambiente.

The decorative candles at Kerzen Atelier Ambiente were very impressive. Kerzen Atelier Ambiente were doing the candles and the other products themselves. It has its own atelier where they make their products.

Kerzen Atelier Ambiente has been in the business since 1977 and it still maintains its own character with charm.

If you would like to learn how to make such decorative candles, Kerzen Atelier Ambiente conducts creative workshops.
