Simple Happiness

We went to Germany in September and spent the long weekend in Constance particularly in Steisslingen and Moos in Höri (Hoeri) located along Lake Constance known as Bodensee in German language.

We played golf at Golf Club Steisslingen am Bodensee located in Steisslingen, Constance, Germany.

We played golf in Steisslingen but we stayed at Hotel Restaurant Gottfried in Moos, Constance, Germany.

Hotel Restaurant Gottfried was a Relais du Silence or a SilenceHotel. The restaurant was quite very known in the area as one of the best restaurants especially when it comes to serving fish.

True indeed, we definitely enjoyed eating at the Hotel Restaurant Gottfried in Moos in Hoeri.

Miguel Angel Jimenez, with a score of -21, won on September 05, 2010 at the Omega European Masters 2010 held at Golf-Club Crans-Sur-Sierre in Crans Montana, Switzerland.

Edoardo Molinari came in second with a score of -18.

Omega European Masters being held in Switzerland particularly at the Golf-Club Crans-Sur-Sierre is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Europe.

Omega European Masters 2011 will be on September 01-04, 2011!

We went to Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales after our Ireland Golf Vacation in Summer 2010. We stayed at the Resort Hotel, a luxurious five star hotel, for three days and two nights.

Celtic Manor Resort has three golf courses, The Twenty Ten Course, The Roman Road and The Montgomerie. The Twenty Ten Course was purposely built for the 2010 Ryder Cup held on October 1-3, 2010.

We played golf at The Roman Road, a championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and at The Montgomerie, another championship course designed by Colin Montgomerie himself.

We went to Ireland in July 2010 for a golf vacation like in Summer 2009. We visited places and golf courses in counties like Galway and Mayo, and again, Dublin and Wicklow.

We played golf at several golf courses in Galway like Galway Golf Club, Bearna Golf Club, and Connemara Golf Links. We also played golf at Westport Golf Club in Mayo, and Tulfarris Golf Club in Wicklow.

We also visited Powerscourt Gardens in Wicklow and golf courses and resorts like Powerscourt Golf Club, Druids Glen Resort, and Druids Heath Golf Club.

We also went to check a few golf courses in Co. Dublin like Castleknock Golf Club along Porterstown Road in Castleknock, Hollystown Golf Club in Hollystown, and Citywest Hotel and Golf Resort in Saggart.

During our trip, we stayed at different hotels in Wales like Trearddur Bay Hotel in Anglesey, St Mary’s Hotel, Golf and Country Club in Vale of Glamorgan, and Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.

We stayed at hotels and guest houses in Ireland like Galway Bay Hotel in Galway, Abbeyglen Castle Hotel in Clifden in Galway, Augusta Lodge in Westport in Mayo, and at the Manor House in Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort located along Blessington Lakes in Wicklow.

Ireland is simply great for golfing vacation. Until next time, Ireland!
